Utility Fixer
The purpose of this job is to give looms a thorough cleaning when a warp run is completed and before the next warp run begins, and also transporting wire to be used in the weaving process and hauling away woven mill rolls.

Requires ability to read and write and use calculator.
Ability to follow simple instructions.
Required to take annual refresher course in forklift operation.
Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with use of calculator.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The noise level makes it nearly impossible for employees to hear a forklift, thus making the forklift operator’s visual contact even more crucial.
Important to have good reflexes and coordination.
Constant awareness to safety for the employee and others in the vicinity.
Employee will get very dirty on this job.
