Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Regular attendance is required, with proper notification for absences, in accordance with the IWM International Attendance Policy.
  • Replace fill wire on loom as spools run empty
  • Cut off rolls of cloth when desired length is reached
  • Splice in broken warp wires as they occur
  • Document loom clock readings at beginning of shift
  • Document production on daily production sheet
  • Monitor looms for good quality production
  • Report looms that are producing material that does not meet customer specifications
  • Regular attendance at work is required in accordance with the Company attendance policy
Qualifications:

While performing this job the employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

 

The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.  Lifting is sporadic but steady.  Employee may sometimes use a bar for leverage to move rolls weighing up to 200 pounds.

 

An employee must have good close vision, and be able to thread .007” diameter wire into .012” diameter opening.

Language Skills:

Ability to complete the required production documentation forms.
Ability to read and write.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to understand and carry out simple one or two step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional variables.

Safety:

Employees must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required in each production department. Employees are required to follow all safety rules as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required (1/3 go 2/3 of the time) to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required (less than 1/3 of the time) to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

 

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move (less than 1/3 of the time) Lifting is sporadic, but steady.  Using bar for leverage, may move up to 200 pound rolls.

 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.  Must be able to thread .007” diameter wire into .012” diameter opening.
